Moving House? Building? Renovating?

Choosing a new house, is an opportunity to select a place according to your life style and expectations; but it can be more than this.

Even if you just have seen or plan to build the house of your dreams, a Feng Shui assessment will definitely make your life easier.

Why? Because of the Chi of the land, the house or a building, oversees the destiny of the occupants and takes the move beyond our normal life style intentions.

Location, location, location!

Wind and water are not only the literal meaning of Feng Shui; the right flow of the Chi or wind and the quality and proximity to moving water are the two vital elements that bring prosperity and better living to an entire community.

The most prosperous cities in ancient civilizations and modern times placed their settlements close to the mouth of a river, on a coastline or in strategic places in the mountains. Good examples of this are Constantinople (Istanbul) on the Bosphorus Strait, New York at the mouth of the Hudson River or Shanghai in China located at the mouth of the Yangtze River.

Locally we can see this effect in cities like Perth with the Swan River, Melbourne and the Yarra River or Sydney on the Pacific coast.

Feng Shui Tips

  • If you have the resources, buy, rent or build a place close to water, preferably a river or on the ocean front. The case is not the same for lakes, dams, weirs or ponds where the water is stagnant. The location of the water in reference to the house in Feng Shui is very important; so choose carefully, and get advice.
  • Avoid choosing a house or building near cemeteries, funeral homes, churches or police stations. The chi of these places is Yin.

The Chi of the building and You

To match the Chi of the house or business building is the second most important factor. In the school of forms there are two types of Chi for houses and the occupants: (a) East and West and its subdivisions in orientation of the house or building; and (b) the date of birth of each person.

Feng Shui Tips

  • Despite the fact that you can’t change your destiny, you can choose a house with good internal Feng Shui that suits your own energy. Look for your Gua Number and match it with the house or building.
  • Preferably choose a house that favors the breadwinner of the house or the owner of the business. By doing this you are protecting the source of income for the family or business.
